Peak audience of 3.7m people watch PDC final

With a peak TV viewership of 3.71 million for Luke Humphries' triumph over teenaged Luke Littler, the PDC World Championship final was the greatest non-football event on Sky Sports.

The 2024 final was viewed by 4.8 million viewers in total, which is a record high for a darts event by Sky.

The previous darts record belonged to 16-year-old Littler, who achieved a high of 2.32m in his semi-final match against Rob Cross.

At Alexandra Palace, Humphries, 28, defeated Littler 7–4 in an intense championship game.

After making an incredible run to the final, Littler was hoping to become the youngest world champion in darts history.
