Australia defeated the United States 2-1 to advance from Group C and eliminate Great Britain from the United Cup quarterfinals.

In a mixed-doubles final, Storm Hunter and Matt Ebden defeated Jessica Pegula and Rajeev Ram to advance hosts Australia to the round of eight.


Earlier, Australia's Alex de Minaur defeated Taylor Fritz, and Pegula defeated Ajla Tomljanovic to tie the score.

Australia's victory meant that Great Britain was eliminated, placing third in a close field.
