Gil de Ferran dies aged 56

Gil de Ferran, a former Indianapolis 500 winner, passed away at the age of 56.

De Ferran reportedly had a heart attack on Friday at a private motor racing club in Opa-locka, Florida, according to the Brazilian Automobile Confederation (CBA).

The CBA stated that he was "promptly taken to a local hospital but did not survive" in a statement.
