Four new countries win Olympic quotas

At the Asian continental qualifier held in Bangkok on Saturday, four more countries successfully claimed a spot at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Malaysia and Uzbekistan won individual women's spots in the individual recurve qualifier, which was exclusively open to Asian countries who had not yet qualified any competitors in that gender. Individual men's spots were taken by Chinese Taipei and India.

It was sufficient to make the gold final because the top two in each category would receive a ticket. Ariana Nur Dania Mohamad Zairi, the top seed from Malaysia, defeated Yasna Pourmahani of Iran and Diya Siddique of Bangladesh to advance to the final and earn a ticket. Zairi finished with a perfect score of thirty.
