South Korea`s Sepak Takraw teams aim for medal glory at the World Championship in Thailand, building on recent successes.

The South Korean national teams, both men’s and women’s, have embarked on their journey to Bangkok, Thailand, to compete in the highly anticipated 2025 World Sepak Takraw Championship. Scheduled from July 22 to 27 at the Hat Yai Convention Hall, this championship will showcase over 500 athletes from 30 countries, all vying for glory in the exhilarating sport of Sepak Takraw.

With ambitions to compete in five events and secure more than four medals, South Korea is riding high on recent triumphs, including consecutive men’s quad victories and women’s lego championships. The teams are currently engaged in rigorous training and technical exchanges in Thailand, fine-tuning their skills in preparation for the fierce competition ahead. This championship marks a significant milestone as it is the first under the leadership of new chairman Kim Young-jin, who envisions elevating Korea’s international standing and fostering global sports cooperation through this prestigious event.

Meanwhile, the excitement continues in the Philippines with regional qualifiers for the Pilipinas Sepak Takraw League 2025. Matches like UNISTAI vs BASTAC and LILOAN CEBU STC vs PASSI STC are being livestreamed, showcasing the local talent and competitive spirit in the Visayas region.
