Wimbledon 2025: Djokovic`s Quest for History Begins

Wimbledon 2025 is poised for drama as Djokovic seeks history and British hopes rise with Draper.

As the grass courts of Wimbledon prepare to welcome the world’s best, the main-draw entry list is set, with qualifying matches currently underway to fill the last 16 spots in the men’s singles. Among the notable players gaining direct entry due to withdrawals are Nishesh Basavareddy, Christopher Eubanks, Brandon Holt, Ethan Quinn, Marin Cilic, Fabio Fognini, and Lloyd Harris. The tournament will showcase the fierce competition of two-time defending champion Carlos Alcaraz, seven-time winner Novak Djokovic, and World No. 1 Jannik Sinner.

British hopes are riding high on World No. 4 Jack Draper, with all eight wild cards awarded to British players, setting the stage for a thrilling tournament from June 30 to July 13, 2025.

In a recent WTA clash, Iga Swiatek showcased her prowess by defeating Victoria Azarenka in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4. Meanwhile, Djokovic reunited with former coach Goran Ivanisevic for a practice session alongside Stefanos Tsitsipas, as he aims to tie Roger Federer’s record of eight Wimbledon titles in his 20th consecutive appearance.
