After defeating Holger Rune at the ATP Finals in Turin, Italy, Novak Djokovic will finish the year ranked number one in the world for a record eighth time.

At the season-ending tournament on Sunday, the 24-time Grand Slam champion defeated the Dane 7-6 (7-4) 6-7 (1-7) 6-3 in his opening Green Group match.
With this victory, Djokovic has now won 19 straight games.

The 36-year-old Serb set a men's record with 24 career major titles in 2023 after winning three Slams.
