Waring wins in Abu Dhabi for second career title
Paul Waring of England defeated an outstanding field to win the Abu Dhabi Championship, which was only his second European Tour championship and his first in six years.
At Yas Links, the 39-year-old finished on 24 under after defeating countryman Tyrell Hatton by two strokes with a six-under-par 66.
In a three-way tie for third place on 21 under, Race to Dubai leader Rory McIlroy played a 64 to join Dane Thorbjorn Olesen and Matt Wallace of England.
