Tragic Loss of Alexey Bugayev

Alexey Bugayev, a former Russian international footballer, has reportedly died at the age of 43 on the Ukrainian front. He had represented Russia seven times, including at Euro 2004. Bugayev joined the military to exchange his prison sentence for drug trafficking, which was set at 9.5 years. His body has not yet been recovered due to ongoing combat, according to his lawyer, Anton Smirnov.
