Folashade Wins Gold For Team Nigeria

Oluwafemiayo Folashade wrap up Nigeria participation in the 2024 Paralympics Games with a Gold medal in the Women's over 86kg Powerlifting with a WORD RECORD.

Folashade had Four Good lifts. A lift of 157kg in her first attempt, 162 in her second attempt to break the Olympic Record (160kg) set by her Compatriot, Josephine Orji in Rio 2016, A Lift of 166kg in her third attempt to break her own World Record of 165kg before lifting 167kg in her fourth attempt to break the World Record she set in her third attempt.

With this last Gold Medal, Team Nigeria won a total of 7 Medals ( 2 Gold, 3 Silver and 2 Bronze) in the 2024 Paralympic Games.
