Africa first medal in the ongoing summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan was gotten by a Tunisia.

Tunisia Taekwondo player Mohammed Khalil Jendoubi pick Africa first medal after losing the 58kg Gold match to Italian Vito Dell'Aquila to claim Silver.

Jendoubi defeat Mikhail Artamonov from the Refugees Olympic team 25-18 in the round of 16 before defeating Ethiopia Solomon Demse 33-9 to set up a Semi-Final clash with Jang Jun of South Korea.
