CAS Upholds Bronze Medal Decision for Romania's Barbosu Over USA's Chiles

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has rejected the U.S. Gymnastics Federation's appeal to overturn the decision to award the bronze medal in the women's floor exercise at the Paris Olympics to Romania's Ana Barbosu instead of American Jordan Chiles. The U.S. team had successfully challenged Chiles' original score, allowing her to move ahead of Barbosu, but CAS determined that the American protest was filed outside the one-minute time limit, leading to the reinstatement of Barbosu's bronze medal.
