Daly goal helps Villa beat Leicester in WSL

In the opening Women's Super League game following the winter break, Aston Villa prevailed against Leicester City thanks in large part to a goal by Rachel Daly.

In the sixteenth minute, England striker Daly headed a cross from Adriana Leon into the corner of the net.


Late in the game, Leicester came closest when Sarah Mayling cleared off the line Ava Baker's rebounded shot after Deanne Rose's attempt was saved.

This season, Villa has only won four games in the league.
