Poulter 'too far removed' to be Ryder Cup captain

Ian Poulter and Lee Westwood, two LIV defectors, are too different from the present European player base, in Rory McIlroy's opinion, to be future Ryder Cup leaders.
In order to avoid paying fines for transferring to LIV, Poulter and Westwood resigned from the DP World Tour last year.
