Court of Arbitration dismisses Russian appeal

The Court of Arbitration for Sport on Thursday rejected a Russian appeal against the ruling that the country would not be receiving the gold medal for its figure skating team at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.



As a result of her doping offense in January, teen figure skater Kamila Valieva was banned by CAS for four years, starting in December 2021. The Russian Olympic Committee also lost their gold medal in the team event at the 2022 Games, almost two years after the competition.
