Throughout the 2023/24 season, he further extended his record, crossing the 39,000-point mark in regular season play and accumulating over 47,000 points across both regular season and playoff games.
James achieved this record in just over 1,400 games, compared to Abdul-Jabbar's 1,560 games​​.
