Leclerc takes Monaco GP pole

Oscar Piastri of McLaren lost to Ferrari's Charles Leclerc for pole position in the Monaco Grand Prix.

Leclerc defeated the Australian by 0.154 seconds. He was the top driver all weekend and appeared to have one with the course in his Ferrari.

Max Verstappen, the reigning world champion, struggled throughout the weekend in his Red Bull and finished only sixth after crashing into the wall on his penultimate lap at the first corner.
