Mendy says he was lent money

An employment tribunal has heard testimony from former Manchester City defender Benjamin Mendy, who claims that after the club stopped paying him following his rape and sexual assault charges, he was given loans by his former teammates Raheem Sterling, Bernardo Silva, and Riyad Mahrez.
The France defender is suing City for £11.5 million in unpaid wages after he was suspended without pay and accused in August 2021.
