Duel Kipruto-Kiptum attendu au marathon de Chicago

Le Kenyan Benson Kipruto ira au marathon de Chicago pour défendre son titre acquis l'année dernière en 2h04mn24s réalisant ainsi le record du marathon de Chicago. Comme concurrent sérieux, il aura en face son compatriote Kelvin Kiptum considéré comme le 2e homme le plus rapide de l'histoire du marathon même si ça sera sa 1ere à Chicago, sa victoire au marathon de Londres cette année est une motivation pour lui. On peut ajouter à la liste l'Ethiopien Seifu Tura vainqueur du marathon de Chicago en 2021 et vice champion l'an dernier.
