Emmanuel Wanyonyi continues his winning streak

Emmanuel Wanyonyi, the young Kenyan Olympic champion, came within twenty hundredths of the 800m world record of his compatriot David Rudisha at the Lausanne meeting on Thursday. With a time of 1:41.11, he became the second best performer in the history of the discipline, tied with the Dane Wilson Kipketer. Wanyonyi also improved his personal best by eight hundredths.
