[Boxing]: The #mexican #elwin #soto retained his #wbo flyweight #title, beating Japan's #katsunari #takayama by referee stoppage in the 9th round on Saturday in Arlington, Texas.

#takayama, who initially survived Soto's thunderous start to fight, suffered a shower of punches in the fatal recovery, including a big right uppercut chained with a hook. Even though he didn't look like he was about to fall to the ground, the referee decided to stop the charges.
