It's the first success for Cape Verde, thanks to the former Dijonais #julio#tavares,who won ( 1-0 ) against Ethiopia this Sunday in the second match of this CAN. Rui Águas' men imitated their Cameroonian counterparts, victorious over Burkina Faso (2-1) at the opening of the CAN, earlier in the day. The Cape Verdeans won on the smallest of margins thanks to Tavares' goal, before the end of the first period and climbed to second place in group A. The Ethiopians, reduced to ten after the exclusion of Yared Bayeh at the 12th minute of play, are fourth.
