McIlroy urges golf to learn from NI peace process

According to Rory McIlroy, professional golf should look for "a compromise" that can unite the opposing parties, emulating the Northern Ireland peace process.

The world number two remembered the Good Friday Agreement, the 1998 peace accord that contributed to the cessation of hostilities in his own country, amidst the continuing division between the PGA Tour and the breakaway LIV circuit.

McIlroy emphasized the need of coming to an agreement as soon as possible and stated that any agreement between the two golf tours will require some concessions.
