The storm circle, a substantial ring encompassing the battleground, manifests at the onset of every Fortnite match. It gains intensity as the game unfolds, moves, pauses, and then reinitiates its course, eventually enshrouding the entire island. The passing seconds within the storm progressively deteriorate the player's HP. Since the game's inception, the storm has evolved into one of its pivotal elements.
In Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4, participants must cause harm to adversaries before the initial storm circle contracts, a prerequisite for the "Fortnitemares Trick Or Treat" quest, yielding 15,000 XP upon fulfillment.
