Scotland lose Pinatar Cup final on penalties

Scotland missed out on a second Pinatar Cup triumph, losing the invitational tournament's 2024 final in a penalty shootout to debutants Finland.

Oona Sevenius gave the Finns the lead in the first half with a superb header against the run of play when Scotland switched off in midfield while players and management discussed strategies.

Pedro Martinez Losa's side dominated possession and pressed relentlessly in search of an equaliser, despite their opponents having many clear chances to extend their lead.
