FA Investigates Referee David Coote

The English Football Association has launched an investigation into referee David Coote, previously suspended for drug use and inappropriate comments about Jürgen Klopp. Allegations suggest Coote discussed issuing a yellow card to Leeds' Ezgjan Alioski before a match in October 2019. Following the match, he reportedly messaged a supporter about their conversation. UEFA also opened an investigation after Coote was allegedly seen inhaling a white powder during Euro 2024.
