Carroll scores double for fourth-tier Bordeaux

In a 2-2 home draw with Voltigeurs de Chateaubriant, former England and Liverpool striker Andy Carroll scored twice on his debut for Bordeaux, a fourth-tier French side.
When Carroll, 35, left Ligue 2 outfit Amiens to join Bordeaux earlier this month, he fell two tiers down the French football ladder.
Bordeaux, the six-time champion of Ligue 1, gave relinquished their professional license in July following their bankruptcy-related drop from Ligue 2 to Championnat National 2.
