Tsitsipas beats Carballes Baena

To continue in the running for a berth in the season-ending ATP finals, Stefanos Tsitsipas defeated Roberto Carballes Baena 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 in Monday's opening round of the Paris Masters, overcoming an upset stomach.
In order to have a chance of making it to the ATP finals tournament for the top eight players in Turin next month, Tsitsipas, who has advanced to the Paris semifinals the past two years, needs to make another strong run.
