Canada’s sports minister urges hockey leaders to take action at summit

Canada’s newly-appointed sports minister is withholding praise for Hockey Canada's efforts to reform the culture of the sport.

""Nobody’s going to hear me congratulate anybody on what’s been done so far because we’re not there yet,” Carla Qualtrough told The Canadian Press. “Kids are still at risk, and we can do better.”

Carla Qualtrough, who represents Delta and was reappointed to the sports portfolio in July after serving from 2015 to 2017, was one of the speakers at Hockey Canada’s “Beyond The Boards Summit” in Calgary on Friday. #sportsminister #hockeycanada #culturechange #beyondtheboards
