According to English newspaper #the #guardian, the #premier #league is set to announce a #new £ 4.5bn TV rights #deal with current partners #sky, #bt and #amazon, avoiding the auction that would have could cause the next contract to lose value. An agreement in principle has reportedly been signed with its broadcast partners, the parties are waiting for the government to make an official announcement, with the power to block the agreements for competition reasons.
