Alexandrova advance to Monterrey Open semifinals

On Thursday, the third-seeded Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova defeated the seventh-seeded Chinese Yue Yuan 7-5, 7-6 (3) to go to the Monterrey Open semifinals.
In the WTA 500 event at Sonoma Club, Alexandrova will take on Lulu Sun of New Zealand, who defeated Erika Andreeva of Russia 6-4, 6-3.
