Morocco Coach Clarifies On Ziyech Omission

During today’s press conference at the Mohammed VI Complex in Sale, Walid Regragui responded to the backlash over Hakim Ziyech's exclusion from the national team in AFCON qualifiers.

“I was taken aback by the controversy surrounding Ziyech's omission," Regragui said. "I personally reached out to him and discovered that he had been without competitive play for nearly two months before my list was made public."

He continued, "There’s no controversy here—Ziyech simply needs to find his best form to be considered again. There are no issues between us." #morocco #ziyech
