Kota Malang`s women’s Sepak Takraw team triumphs at Porprov IX, showcasing skill and determination in a stunning gold medal match.

The Kota Malang women`s Sepak Takraw team has etched their name in the annals of local sports history by clinching the gold medal at the Porprov Jawa Timur IX/2025. In a thrilling final held at the GOR Unisma Kota Malang, the team showcased their prowess by defeating Kabupaten Bangkalan with a commanding score of 2-0. The sets unfolded with scores of 15-10 and 15-6, reflecting Kota Malang`s dominance throughout the match.

Coach Najamudin praised his team`s preparedness and the competitive spirit present at the Porprov level. He noted that their earlier encounter with Bangkalan in the group stage had posed a significant challenge, but the resilience and determination of his players shone through in the final. This victory not only highlights their skill but also the growth of Sepak Takraw in the region.

In a parallel development, a new sports complex in Balai Ringin, Sarawak, was inaugurated on June 29, 2025.
