The 2025 Championship League is set to ignite the snooker scene, commencing at the Mattioli Arena in Leicester. This prestigious professional ranking tournament, running from 30 June to 23 July, marks the dawn of the 2025–26 snooker season. Defending champion Ali Carter, who triumphed over Jackson Page with a 3–1 victory last year, will be looking to retain his title amidst fierce competition.

The tournament features an exciting format with 32 groups in the first round, each comprising four players. The stakes are high as group winners will advance to the next stage. Among the notable matches scheduled for 30 June, Stephen Maguire will face Michael Holt, while James Cahill takes on both Maguire and Holt. Young talents like Leone Crowley are already making waves, having secured his first professional win with a commanding 4–0 victory over Hatem Yassen.
