Charlotte 49ers baseball team clinched a 4-2 victory over Wofford in their first midweek game of the 2025 season. The game showcased an impressive performance from Charlotte`s pitching staff, which recorded a season-high 12 strikeouts. Andrew Kribbs started on the mound, allowing just one hit and one run over 2.0 innings. Joel Sarver followed but was charged with both runs before AJ Camp stepped in, earning the win in his collegiate debut with 2.1 innings pitched and four strikeouts.

Offensively, Noah Furcht shone with a crucial two-run homer in the third inning, contributing to his two-hit night. Dawson Bryce also had a standout performance with two hits, including a double, leading the team with seven hits this season. Caleb Estes made an impact in his first game as a 49er, adding two hits, while Juan Rivera, Connor Maryniak, and Carson Bayne contributed to the scoring.

Wofford threatened early but was held off by Charlotte`s strong pitching. After Wofford scored their first two runs in the third inning, Charlotte responded with a three-run fifth inning, securing the lead and adding insurance in the sixth. The 49ers are set to return home to Hayes Stadium for a series against Old Dominion starting on February 21.
