The Surf Abu Dhabi Pro has reached an exciting stage, concluding its second full day of competition at Hudayriyat Island, UAE. The event, part of the 2025 World Surf League (WSL) Championship Tour, showcased the world`s top surfers in clean conditions, allowing for impressive performances on three-foot waves.

In the women`s Qualifying and Elimination Rounds, rising stars Molly Picklum (AUS) and Gabriela Bryan (HAW) made headlines by defeating established competitors. Picklum delivered a standout performance, scoring 13.83 and sending Johanne Defay (FRA) to the Elimination Round. Bryan also impressed, overcoming Tatiana Weston-Webb (BRA) and Sally Fitzgibbons (AUS) with a heat total of 13.34. Other notable performances included Erin Brooks (CAN), who secured her first CT heat win against Tyler Wright (AUS), and Sawyer Lindblad (USA), who advanced with a strong finish.

The men`s Round of 16 featured significant upsets, with rookie Jackson Bunch (HAW) defeating 2024 World No. 3 Griffin Colapinto (USA) with a heat total of 15.73. Ethan Ewing (AUS), Rio Waida (INA), Jack Robinson (AUS), and Yago Dora (BRA) also advanced to the Quarterfinals, showcasing their skills and determination.
