WNBA`s Historic Game in Vancouver: Atlanta Dream vs. Seattle Storm

The Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) has made a historic announcement regarding the 2025 season. For the first time, a regular-season WNBA game will be played outside of the United States. On Friday, August 15, 2025, the Atlanta Dream and the Seattle Storm will face off at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. This game marks the third WNBA Canada Game and is a significant milestone for the league.

The Atlanta Dream, who concluded their 2024 campaign with a second consecutive playoff appearance, will be led by notable players such as Rhyne Howard, the 2022 Kia WNBA Rookie of the Year, and Tina Charles, who holds top spots in WNBA history for rebounds and points. The team also features Allisha Gray and Laeticia Amihere, adding depth to their roster.

The Seattle Storm, four-time WNBA champions, are coming off their 25th anniversary season and 19th playoff appearance. Their roster includes WNBA Champion and 2016 Kia WNBA MVP Nneka Ogwumike, two-time WNBA champion Jewell Loyd, and six-time WNBA All-Star Skylar Diggins-Smith.

This game follows the success of previous WNBA Canada Games held in Toronto and Edmonton, which were sold out. The 2024 season saw the WNBA set records for digital consumption and merchandise sales, with a significant increase in viewership in Canada.

Fans can register for presale ticket access at WNBACanadaGame.com. The game is part of the WNBA's efforts to expand its global reach and showcase its talent to a broader audience.
