VandyFest 2025: Meet the Commodores Baseball Team

Vanderbilt University's baseball team is gearing up for an exciting 2025 season with the announcement of VandyFest, a fan-centric event scheduled for January 31. This event will provide fans with the opportunity to meet the 2025 baseball team, fostering a strong connection between the players and their supporters.

The Commodores' schedule for the upcoming season features a series of competitive matchups, including games against Grand Canyon, Nebraska, UC Irvine, Air Force, and Saint Mary's (Calif.). The team is set to kick off their season with games in late February and early March, promising an action-packed start to the year.

Meanwhile, the University of North Carolina baseball team has also unveiled its 2025 schedule. The Tar Heels will begin their season on February 14 against Texas Tech, followed by contests against NC A&T, Kansas State, East Carolina, and other notable opponents. The schedule includes a mix of home and away games, featuring both Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) matchups and non-conference games.

In independent baseball news, outfielder Gilberto Jimenez has signed a contract to return to the High Point Rockers for the 2025 season. Jimenez had a commendable performance during his previous season with the Rockers, boasting a .278 batting average, three home runs, and 19 RBIs. The Rockers are set to open their 2025 season on April 25 against the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs, with their home opener scheduled for May 6 against the Gastonia Ghost Peppers.
