Miles College`s women`s basketball team has secured back-to-back SIAC conference championships, triumphing over Tuskegee with a decisive 68-54 victory in the 2025 Cricket SIAC Women’s Basketball Tournament Championship. Lemyiah Harris shone brightly, leading the Bears with an impressive 24 points, complemented by four rebounds, two assists, and a steal. Feliah Greer and Madison Lee also made significant contributions, scoring 15 and 12 points respectively, showcasing the team`s depth and resilience.

In the SWAC, the competitive landscape has shifted with recent upsets impacting tournament seedings. Mississippi Valley State pulled off a thrilling 70-68 win against Jackson State, while Grambling State defeated Alabama State 69-53.
