Dhruv Kapila and Tanisha Crasto have made headlines at the Badminton Asia Championships 2025 in Ningbo, China, by advancing to the quarterfinals in the mixed doubles category. The Indian duo secured their spot after a thrilling match against Ye Hong Wei and Nicole Chan from Chinese Taipei, winning with scores of 12-21, 21-16, 21-18. They are set to face Hong Kong`s Jordan Tang and Tse Ying Suet next, promising an exciting clash ahead.

In a disappointing turn for India, two-time Olympic medallist PV Sindhu was eliminated from the women’s singles by Japan`s Akane Yamaguchi, with a final score of 12-21, 21-16, 16-21. Other Indian players, including Kiran George and Priyanshu Rajawat, also faced early exits in their respective events.

On the men`s side, Jonatan Christie of Indonesia reached the quarterfinals in men’s singles after defeating Malaysia’s Justin Hoh with scores of 21-13, 21-19. The matches are being held at the Ningbo Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium, drawing significant attention from badminton fans worldwide.
