Surfing in Australia is gearing up for an exciting 2025 season, as Surfing Western Australia has announced a packed competition schedule. Kicking off in January, the 20th edition of Taj`s Small Fries will take place in Yallingup from January 16 to 19. The calendar features over 30 events, including the prestigious World Surf League Western Australia Margaret River Pro and the Corsaire Aviation King of the Point, catering to various surfing disciplines.

In a remarkable display of skill, Western Australian surfing legend Taj Burrow recently clinched victory at the Surfing Championships Trophy held at the iconic Sultans break in the Maldives. Competing in ideal conditions with pristine waves, Taj showcased his prowess by navigating through challenging tubes and even scoring a perfect 10. He finished second in the Single Fin, Thruster, and Twin Fin categories, ultimately securing his third Surfing Championships Trophy title by edging out Mikey February in the final.

With the recent successes in surfing competitions, Surfing Western Australia is committed to delivering exceptional experiences for its members and supporting long-standing club events.
