India has showcased remarkable prowess in the 2025 Kho Kho World Cup, held at the Indira Gandhi Arena in New Delhi. The Indian men`s team, under the leadership of Pratik Waikar, delivered an impressive performance in the quarterfinals, defeating Sri Lanka with a staggering score of 100-40. This victory marked a significant milestone as it was the first time in the tournament that a team reached the 100-point mark. Prior to this match, India had already triumphed over Nepal, Brazil, Peru, and Bhutan, securing their place in the semifinals alongside Iran, South Africa, and Nepal.

On the women`s side, the Indian team, captained by Priyanka Ingle, also advanced to the semifinals with a commanding 109-16 victory against Bangladesh.
