Pistons Edge Knicks in Playoff Thriller

Cade Cunningham leads Pistons to a crucial playoff win against Knicks, tying Isiah Thomas` record in the process.

The Detroit Pistons secured a thrilling 106-103 victory over the New York Knicks in Game 5 of their Eastern Conference first-round series. Cade Cunningham led the Pistons with an impressive 24 points, while Tobias Harris contributed 22 points to help the team earn their first win in the series.

For the Knicks, OG Anunoby was the standout performer with 19 points, but Jalen Brunson struggled, finishing with only 16 points on a disappointing 4-of-16 shooting. Despite the loss, the Knicks still hold a 3-2 lead in the series, extending their NBA-record streak of consecutive home losses in series-clinching games to five.

Cunningham`s performance was historic, as he tied Isiah Thomas` 1987 Pistons record for the most 20-point, 5-rebound, 5-assist playoff games, now totaling four. The excitement continues as the Golden State Warriors prepare to face the Houston Rockets later today, leading their series 3-1, while the Los Angeles Lakers and Minnesota Timberwolves also clash in their own Game 5.
