Bryant made an early statement by defeating Sacred Heart 13-8, marking the first win of the season in the league.

Jade Catlin from UMass Lowell was a highlight of the weekend, earning the Offensive Player of the Week title after scoring four goals and providing an assist, making her the program`s all-time leading goal scorer.

In the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Men`s Lacrosse, teams are gearing up for the start of their season, with Syracuse, Duke, North Carolina, Virginia, and Notre Dame all set to begin with a clean slate.

The Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) is also in action, featuring the 2025 Championship Series with teams like the Boston Cannons and Maryland Whipsnakes. The new `sixes` format aims to enhance the pace and accessibility of the game, drawing in new fans.

In college women`s lacrosse, Pitt Women’s Lacrosse is preparing to host Arizona State for their home opener after a close win against St. Bonaventure. Arizona State, led by Jordyn Behar`s impressive eight-point performance, is looking to continue their momentum. Meanwhile, the Mount St. Mary’s men’s lacrosse team faces St. Bonaventure, hoping to bounce back from a recent loss.
