Nepal says Lamichhane denied visa for T20 WC

On Thursday, Nepal said that controversial player Sandeep Lamichhane's visa application had been denied by the US embassy, adding that his chances of playing in the T20 World Cup were "slim or no."


The United States and the West Indies are co-hosting the T20 World Cup, which gets underway on Saturday. Nepal's first match will take place in Dallas on June 4.

Nepal desired to choose spin bowler Lamichhane, who last month had his eight-year rape term overturned on appeal.
