The Mid-Summer Slam 2025 and Kelowna Open 2025 are set to energize Canadian pickleball this summer.

Excitement is building in the Canadian pickleball scene as the Mid-Summer Slam 2025 approaches. Scheduled from July 11 to July 13 at the South Surrey Athletic Park Pickleball Courts in Surrey, British Columbia, this tournament promises thrilling competition across various skill levels and age categories. Participants can look forward to events including Women’s Doubles, Men’s Singles, Mixed Doubles, Men’s Doubles, and Women’s Singles. Registration opens on May 20, 2025, with a fee of CAD $75 plus an event fee of CAD $15 per event. Players must hold a valid Pickleball Canada membership and utilize USAPA-approved paddles.

Another key event on the horizon is the Kelowna Open 2025, taking place from July 17 to July 20 at the PRC Outdoor Pickleball Courts in Kelowna, British Columbia. This tournament will affect players` Canadian Tournament Pickleball Rating (CTPR) and DUPR ratings, featuring Mixed Doubles, Men’s Doubles, and Women’s Doubles events. Registration begins on May 21, 2025, and closes on July 7, 2025, with a registration cost of CAD 73.50.

Additionally, the Stellarton Senior Open 50+ recently concluded on March 8-9, 2025, in Stellarton, Nova Scotia, contributing to players` CTPR and DUPR ratings. This event was open to all Canadian residents and required a Pickleball Canada membership.
