Clare Polkinghorne Announces Retirement


Australian football veteran Clare Polkinghorne, the most capped player for the national team with 167 appearances, announced her retirement at the end of the year. The 35-year-old defender represented the Matildas in five World Cups, three Olympics, and five Asian Cups, scoring 16 goals.
