Arkansas State leads the Sun Belt Golf Championship, with Maxey and Schmidt tied for first at 5-under par.

Arkansas State continues to dominate the 2025 Sun Belt Men`s Golf Championship at Annandale Golf Club, holding a four-stroke lead after two rounds of stroke play with a total team score of 566 (-1. Jack Maxey and Thomas Schmidt from Arkansas State, alongside Louisiana`s Eli Ortego, are tied for first place individually at 5-under par.

Coastal Carolina surged into second place with a 3-under par 285 on the day, while Georgia Southern made a strong move into the top pairing with a 4-under par 284. Louisiana and Troy are tied for fourth place, both aiming to secure spots in Thursday`s match play rounds. Texas State showcased the best team score of the day at 7-under par 281, positioning themselves within striking distance of a top-four seed for match play.

Other notable team standings include James Madison and Georgia State tied at 582 (+6), ULM at 584 (+8), and Southern Miss at 587 (+11). The final round of stroke play commenced at 8:30 a.m. CT on Wednesday, broadcast live on ESPN+ with live scoring available. Meanwhile, the Ole Miss men`s golf team is competing in the SEC Championship, which features six of the top 10 teams nationally.
