Despite the loss, Saint Mary`s retained the No. 1 spot in the WCC rankings after bouncing back with a commanding 63-49 win against Oregon State. Augustas Marciulionis shone in that game, recording a double-double with 18 points and 10 assists.

Gonzaga, now sitting at No. 3 in the rankings, recently secured a 78-61 victory over Pacific. Ryan Nembhard made headlines by breaking his own program single-season assist record, achieving 246 assists through 25 games. Gonzaga is gearing up for a highly anticipated matchup against San Francisco on Thursday, which could further shake up the rankings.

In other college basketball news, Ole Miss enjoyed a perfect week, defeating nationally-ranked Kentucky and LSU, which has positioned them as a 5-seed in Joe Lunardi`s latest NCAA Tournament projections. The Rebels are part of a strong SEC contingent, with 13 teams projected to make the tournament.

Houston also made waves in the Big 12, defeating Baylor 76-65, with LJ Cryer leading Houston with 14 points. Houston is set to face Arizona on Saturday, while Baylor will take on West Virginia.
