Magic Johnson, Dodgers chairman Mark Walter, and 2028 Summer Olympics organizer Casey Wasserman have been appointed by California Governor Gavin Newsom to spearhead a new initiative focused on wildfire recovery and rebuilding efforts in Los Angeles. The Mark Walter Family Foundation and the Dodgers have pledged up to $100 million to support this cause.
